As this week’s post is all about video blogging – why you should do it and how to get going, it’s only right that it should be a video blog!

The main points (for those who prefer reading) are:

Don’t worry about expensive equipment. If you have something genuinely useful to tell your target audience, then just switch on your camera and shoot. People like to see who you really are, so speak to them.

  • Videos are great for your search rankings  – YouTube is the second biggest search engine in the world, after Google itself
  • Videos appeal to people who prefer watching to reading
  • Videos are memorable – a combination of pictures and sound make your content stick in people’s minds
