8 Reasons for using Social Networking for Business

I’ve been doing some research ahead of a (real life) networking event where we will be discussing Social Networking for Business.

Here are my top reasons for using Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook or whichever platform is most appropriate for your business.

Use it to drive traffic to your website or blog

Use it to establish yourself as an expert in your field

Use it for customer service – listen and respond

Use it for research – find out what your customers are saying, doing , using, thinking

Use it for attracting new customers– engage your current customers so that they spread the word

Use it to differentiate your product/service from your competitors – add a bit of personality

Use it to source suppliers

Use it to ask business questions
